Gasparini Retrospective

Claudio Gasparini 1957 – 2016

Claudio was a prolific artist specializing in oils who enjoyed painting in a variety of styles from post-impressionist to fauvist. His abiding theme was deep, rich colors that were sometimes dramatic and imaginative often painted in expressive layers.

The paintings in this exhibition reflect the years of living in Martha’s Vineyard – sailing, summers at the beach, seafood, Vineyard ferries, landscapes, and lighthouses – as well as Mediterranean scenes that include olive trees, cypresses, fields, and flowers, and he often painted lively roosters.
