Jen Kelly
Contemporary abstract painter, Jen Kelly, uses bold brushwork and a palette knife on canvas, linen and big boards. She is “not afraid of the paint” as one of her teachers once commented. Topics often feature landscapes, cityscapes and beach scenes as these allow for vibrating color and the use of thick paint.
Jen has a BFA from Boston College and has studied the master painters in Florence, Italy. She has also studied under renowned U.S. artists such as Ken Auster, Johanna Harmon, Camile Prizdewok and Cynthia Packard.
Residing in Hingham, MA, Jen is a full-time artist, with her works residing in homes throughout the U.S., including the Boston area, South Shore of MA, Cape, and Islands, as well as New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Colorado, and Utah. Her work can be viewed at Solace Gallery, LBI, New Jersey, Home In Harmony and Delicious Designs in Hingham, MA. Her philanthropic work as curator for South Shore Hospital Dana Farber Cancer Center and Homestart, an agency that helps the homeless, has been a big part of her mission. Jen has been featured in Boston Magazine, South Shore Living and 2019 Open House Magazine.
